Fittest Games - 3rd Challenge Team & "The Hill"

In early April, we hosted the 3rd in a series of Fittest Games Challenges. Went out to the Dynamax facility in Buda Tx, with the idea I'd drink my coffee, help check in participants and enjoy the show. Then I was asked if I wanted to participate and that caffeine had set in, so I said "hell yeah." 100 med ball sit-ups, 50 KB swings, run a mile, 100 more med ball sit ups and another 50 KB swings - all for time. When my friendly counter Daniel Kang told me I was at 75 sit ups in round 1, I was a bit distraught, but not as much as I was when I got a good view of the 1 mile run - all the way down and back. But I made it and one again thanked CrossFit for humbling me, and making me stronger all at the same time.

The Swim

Of the three events for the tri, I will have to focus most on swimming. I can't imagine yet the thought of swimming in open water with legs and arms flying everywhere - for now the relatively safety of the swim lanes... after the first practice, my name is fish food.

TriTraining -Bike

Nicole and I hitting the veloway on a bike for the first time in a long, long time... say when my age was in single digits... I'm excited about this goal of doing the Danskin. Run, bike swim... and CrossFit. Did a light ride then back to the CrossFit Central gym for some kettlebell torture thanks to Big Mike... can't lift arms today.
