Ok - it's not me... but despite the fact I've not done a hand stand since maybe Elementary school, Carey got me to do a few of them in the gym last week... even held one attempt for 60 seconds.
This is my youngest, Hannah, doing her thing at Little Gym -- she loves going and running the show there once a week.

Well, I have been a member of the CrossFit Central family now for a year -- started back in Feb '07. I think there will be more handstands in my future.

Into week #2 of 2008 and the start of month #11 working out with CrossFit Central.

My goal is boot camp 3x a week with Jeremy and meet Carey in the gym 2x week. I can't load the weights like the others yet, or do a good kipping pull-up, but I'm going to get there. My legs are jello, and my arms tired, but I'm loving it. No picture, cause it would just be me lying on the ground.... Got to get ready for Spring Break - and 10 weeks till I turn the big 40. Hopefully, there is a beach in my future.

Willpower

My "other" job, other than mom, wife, CrossFit and Strategic Oxygen -- Girl Scouts. The next two months will test my willpower. I'm the service unit coordinator for cookie sales in the Lakeway area - supplying 40 troops of girl scouts with cookies to sell mid January to late February. This is what 2,500 cases look like in the garage - 30,000 boxes -- the garage that sometimes serves as our boot camp location in rainy conditions. I got my own work out today helping unload the truck.

Willpower - how many will I eat? How many will I buy? Buy some cookies this season - and if you don't want them around the house because you will eat them - donate a box to Operation Cookie to send to our military troops overseas.... This is a great cause, and supports a great organization - helping girls grow strong. Girl power, baby!

I can't find many photos of me, unless they are of late as I would get rid of them when I didn't like how I looked and well - that was most of the time. But, David Re took some of me for the success story shoot, and well, I like some of them for a change! Two of the ones I like... yes, showing off a little muscle, but it's all new to me -- and when I get into the gym in January, it's gonna rival Carey's... maybe - just give me time. Check out David's work at: http://www.daverephoto.com/

My third running event - Turkey Trot! The girls ran the kids 1k, then Don and I on the 5M with Hannah in tow... Finished in about 45 minutes... happy to have finished w/out stopping. Don pushed Hannah (literally) and me mentally. Great way to start the day, and finished by beating up on the boys in Wii Boxing... and enjoying dinner with my family, Jeremy and Michael. Photo from our "starting" point within the crowd of Turkey Trotters... and my little Turkeys.

My 15 minutes of fame on Fox news this morning with my CrossFit Coach (Jeremy) and his co-founder (and sister), Carey Kepler. Love these two! To see the video, go to the link below - hit side bar for second (and better) interview.

Ran with my BCBS peeps in the Komen Race for the Cure 5K and thrilled Nicole and Jeremy joined us as well. Ran it right at 30-minutes. Felt great to run it non-stop and to be in a crowd of such inspiring people. Thanks Kimberly, Chris and Angi - you kept me going! And we had to take a shot from the back, cuz our shirts are just too cool.
